PICTURE FRAME WITH STAND - 11X14"

Here is a very old picture frame.  I photographed them as I pulled them from the box so they are a bit dusty and maybe stained. 

IF THE GLASS IS MISSING OR BROKEN, I WILL REPLACE IT FOR YOU.

They clean up nicely.  I also blurred out the photos as I will be selling them seperately after I  use them in another of my books first. 

This frame is for and ELEVEN BY FOURTEEN photograph, measures thirteen and a half by fourteen and a half and has a bit of damage. 

I imagine the frame is near or over 100 years old, so it is in good shape for its age.   And..., the dings and nicks all have stories of their own, I am sure.  Rock had photos of either himself as a baby, mom or dad or another close relative in these.  He held them close.

Castle ash tray

Here is  a wonderful piece!!!

It is an old ashtray from a castle in either Portugal or Spain.  It is very very old.  It is two pieces and is very heavy.  Rock had it out by the pool next to his old  Church bench that was a close match.   I don't know if it was originally an ash tray, but that is how Rock used it.

OLD POTTERY DECANTER

This is a very nice piece.

It is an old pottery decanter, maybe water pitcher in excellent condition.  It is seven inches tall and seven inches wide at the handle.  There is no visible stamp or markings that I can see.   Since most of Rock's items in and around his home were from Spain or Portugal, that might be the origin of this piece as well.

Vita-Mix Blender-FABULOUS!

This is fabulous and has a great history!

It is a Vita Mix 3600 Plus Blender/Juicer.

This was at Rock's home in his kitchen as long as I can remember.   It is in excellent shape and works perfectly.  As a matter of fact, I use it in my own kitchen to this day.  

It is SUPER STRONG for sure. Made of all metal construction.   It will crush anything without bogging.  It is clean, cosmetically, it is not perfect but it is clean and sanitary. I dare not use steel wool on it but if you purchased it you may.    

As I said, I use it if I am making a smoothie or a carrot juice.     

Rock used it all the time to keep healthy and get his daily fruit fix.

Wrought Iron planter

This is a wonderful planter that Rock had in his yard for years.   I recently found photos of it there, but didn't pull them aside. 

I will keep looking.  

It is in great condition and is a marvelous piece and very heavy.

BOARD WITH SPRING LOADED WROUGHT IRON

This item, I am not completely sure what it is, but it was with Rock's things.

It looks very old and is in excellent condition.

If someone out there knows what it is, I hope they will let me know.

Measures:  40" x 5.75" x 3"  & Heavy.

I was just informed that it might be a Christmas Wrapping Paper cutter.  

To use it you put it at the end of a roll, pull out your disired length and cut it with the bar.  The spring loaded part keeps it in close contact with the roll at all times.  

Rock did buy truckloads of presents during holidays and espically during Christmas time.  He would have used a commerical type paper cutter, that was just like him.

A VERY LARGE - ORNATE RUG

THIS IS FABULOUS!!!

It is a very large rug that Rock had in his home.

  It measures 164"(13'8") x 123"(10'3")

It is in excellent condition with only one small spot that has been unraveled a bit. I show this in the photos .

This spot stood next to a door that when opened would rub the carpet.  It does have one small stain on it that is hard to see.   It is hand made and may be American Indian, I am not sure.  i have examined it very closely. 

I do know that Rock bought only very expensive and top quality carpet and rugs. He bought them from all around the world.   He loved to talk about them and give there history. 

Unfortunately, I don't remember this particular ones history or much about it for that matter.  As far as wearability, It is in excellent condition and is very usable. 

Has tons and tons of wear left in it.  As a matter of fact, it does not shed, it folds on its own and is very much like NEW that way.

Old Wooden Butter Churning Stopper

This looks to ba an old wooden butter churning top stopper.  The shaft would go down through the hole and would be thrust up and down to churn the butter in the container below.  I just have this one piece.  It is in fair condition with a few cracks.   A novel item for sure.

3 ORNATELY CARVED METAL PIECES

Here are 3 metal pieces.  One is broken and one has been repaired.   I don't quite know what they were for, but they did come from Rocks home. 

They fit together some how.  

They are very heavy and measure: approx. 5" x 13" each.

If anyone can tell me what they are used for, pleas do.

Bedding - DUVET - Blue and White.

HERE IS ANOTHER DUVET OF ROCKS, VERY SIMILAR TO THE OTHER ONE.

This is such a personal item!!  

  He used these duvet's everyday and changed them very often, as much as two and three times per week.  

It is a duvet that Rock had on his bed.  He loved the masculine patterns, and on his bed, he liked the simple ones.  Sometimes he would do stripes and sometimes a pattern.  But the patterened ones were usually just a few colors.

In the photos I show the inside and with the duvet tail down.

It is in great condition, sturdy and smells nice.
